Respected Dearest
Thank you for giving your precious time and being so kind to read my story. I would like you to know and understand why I started this so let me walk you through the details about my fundraiser. By the way, I am Henry Manggou. Chibai!

* The People And The Place
Commonly known as Kana Area, located in Manipur's Chandel District, it is populated by unemployed parents and high school dropped out teenagers, mostly, due to improper education system and poverty, the people depend on forest products for their livelihood. Deforestation, which pains me most, is the most common method for making money here. Children born and brought up in such a situation are likely to care less about education. To put in a nutshell, it is a cycle of backwardness. Despite the improper education, I have seen many children with so much potential and talent in painting/arts, music/singing, crafting, etc apart from studying. To cut the story short, saddened, I decide to come up with a 'Dream Camp or Summer Camp' after my graduation this summer to reach out to these children through music and fun which they love so much and spread awareness through this event and build their confidence to face the world outside the vale. BUT TO DO THIS I NEED SOME AMOUNT OF MONEY I CAN'T EVEN DREAM OF. Therefore, I had to come here and raise some fund to help my people, especially the marginalised children.

* A DREAM CAMP FOR THE CHILDREN

Seminars and awareness programs
Expedition or trip
Exposure to wide range of skills
Develop self-confidence
Activity based joyful learning
Sharing the Good News
Music, fun and food (to attract the oblivious)

The Assam Rifles, big thanks to them, have helped us in many ways we can't imagine. They provided school bus to far away day scholars, took our students to tour Delhi-Agra a few times, held free medical camps, and many many many more. They are indeed 'Friends of the Hill People'.
