Aditya Kuwar (2006) is the middle son of a homeless single mother’s family and has two other siblings. Their father passed away some time ago, while their mother apparently doesn't work. They live on one of the train platform in Mumbai Central. Their mother doesn't seem to be bothering much about caring for her own children, perhaps due to lack of shelter and proper food. The three kids, in fact, seem to mainly get food from travelling passengers and left-overs from railway catering services.

Aditya was not properly attending any school before attending Community Outreach Program (CORP) day-care, because he had to look after his sister, Bajo. Since he joined CORP, he showed a genuine enthusiasm in learning things and studying, though then attending a Marathi school of very poor academic quality.

Aditya is a really intelligent boy, curious about everything, a fast learner and a precise student with a positive, loving nature. He is very responsible and willingly looks after his sister without neglecting his own studies.

Due to excellent aptitude for learning, it became essential to enroll him in a good school so that his skills could be honed to their maximum potential. Also, since he lives on a central railway platform with no proper food or shelter and amidst a rogue environment, it became all the more necessary to remove him from this environment and send him to residential schooling.

it was then In 2016, that he was referred to Ra Foundation. 

Ra Foundation is a Mumbai based; registered NGO; which works in collaboration with Akanksha Foundation, CORP and Teach for India to provide quality education to talented & deserving children, coming from underprivileged and vulnerable backgrounds.

Their “Happy Kids Program” is currently supporting 40 kids which are enrolled in their partner residential schools. These schools provide academic training par excellence and also focus on the extra-curricular activities for overall personality development.

In addition to this, they ensure the well-being of the children with regular health checks and psychological counselling. The families of the children are also involved to ensure a well nurtured environment for the child at home.

Ra Foundation is thus helping transform “Quality Of Life” of under-privileged kids by comprehensive training which ensures Academic, Social & Economic growth, in line with their motto-

Ra Foundation enrolled Aditya in their Happy Kids Program and has been attending Sweet Memories High School, Panchgani since then, where he finds a safe, secure and nurturing environment away from the platforms of Mumbai.
