The inequality landscape in education, however, makes it difficult for every child to even own a pen. How will these children ever understand the power their dreams and their words have?
We are Teach For India Fellows working in the grassroots level to eradicate this problem. We push for experiential learning in classrooms, for kids to be exposed to facilities that they are entitled to.
And we need your help!
We are teachers from the North Chennai region of Pulianthope. It is a low income community, and we work in the public school there. We are fundraising for the following:
Includes books for the whole school
Student supplies- 50,000 (500 per student)
Pens, pencils, writing pads
Journals, workbooks, dictionaries
Classroom supplies - 50,000
Whiteboard, notice board and projector
Field Trips- 50,000
Experiment kits and student projects - 20,000
Please donate how much ever you can. Even 10 rupees can go a long way!
Our kids will send you a personalised thank you note as well!
