Help the disabled lead a life of Economic Independence and Dignity

Who We Are

Nabet Manesar – is a registered NGO that is involved in training and employment of handicapped, specially the visually handicapped.
  • It is situated at IMT Manesar in Gurgaon and has been in operation for over 7 years .
  • It's present engagement is in the IT/ITeS sector and wishes to add more employment specific programs of different vocations.
India is home to over 2.1 million blind youth and most of them are unemployed.

Our Story

  • We made a humble beginning with just 2 people and toyed with the idea of training blind resources on industry specific skills aimed at employing them in the industry.

  • We approached local companies to get an insight of the kind of jobs /skills that they require.

  • Thereafter we sought their assistance in designing and developing a course curriculum to meet the specific need.

  • Thereafter the training methodology was tweaked to accommodate the specific needs of blind and integrate necessary software to enable their training. We have come a long way

  • Today there are more than 300 disabled people who are employed and over 45 are undergoing training at our centre presently. The program has become popular as it provides livelihood and reduces dependence on charities.

We have been able to engage with over 7 leading companies but there is more companies and beneficiaries which needs to be reached

    Why do we need funds?

  • Participating companies require the requisite infrastructure to enable better participation.

  • We need to create classrooms with essential furniture and training aids to meet the growing numbers.

  • Funds are required to meet the same and grow the enterprise.

  • The structure is expected to create work opportunities for additional 50 people and would pull them out of the clutches of poverty.

  • Land already has been purchased and funds for the balance work has been sought.
