Sponsor Namita and Anuja Represent India At An International Level

Namita and Anuja are bonafide students of NMIMS- PTMBA-Social Entrepreneurship programme. They chose this programme to contribute in the upliftment of the marginalized society through their unique project Uthaana.

21% of communicable diseases in India are related to unsafe water. In India, diarrhea alone causes more than 1,600 deaths daily—the same as if eight 200-person jumbo jets crashed to the ground each day. Hygiene practices also continue to be a problem in India.

Project Uthaana aims at providing access to affordable and clean water through a low-cost water filter which will help in reducing water-borne diseases and deaths which are rampant amongst the poor section of Indian population.

Namita and Anuja have been selected for the Young Social Entrepreneur Challenge organized by Singapore International Foundation. This is an opportunity for them not only to represent India on the global map but also meet business leaders who can help them execute this project in India and help them contribute in the upliftment of the weaker section by providing them a healthy and happy life. This can be made possible with your generous support and encouragement.

Please contribute to help them raise the funds which will enable them to attend this challenge and embark on this journey of revolutionizing the access of water systems to the disadvantaged sections of society bringing about an equity.

The competition is on 15th March 2017, for which they need to fly to Singapore. They will need a funding of Rs 75,000 to be able to fly to Singapore and participate in this challenge. We hope to receive your best wishes and contributions by 27th February 2017 to facilitate their travel and participation in this programme. All your support can help these aspiring entrepreneurs realize their dreams and begin a new chapter in the world of social development.

Dear All,
Thank you so much for all your support and encouragement which was the driving force and enabled us to successfully participate in the YSE. Though we couldn’t make it to the finals but the experience was phenomenal. Over the period of 8 days we got the opportunity to interact with the best mentors in the industry and seek their expertise in improving our project and attain maximum impact.
We were imparted training on different facets of business planning, presentation skills and many more important aspects of entrepreneurship. We hope to make the best use of this knowledge and fine tune our project so that we can come out as winners in the forthcoming challenges.
We strongly believe that this initiative will help us reach our goal of providing safe drinking water to the marginalized, which is a basic right and which they are being deprived of at present.
We hope to receive your continuous support in all our future endeavours because ‘we need each other to make this world a better place’.
Namita and Anuja
