My mother was normal by her birth. She was able to hear properly. At her 22nd age, her hearing in left ear started decreasing gradually. As my maternal grandparents were poor, they could not afford her treatment in private hospital. Instead they got her operated in government hospital. Due to technical issues or mistake of government doctor, my mother became completely deaf after her surgery. Now her age is 62 years. Meanwhile my father tried for her hearing aid. But nothing worked out for her beacuse medical technology was not much developed in those times. She has been deaf for 40 years now. Recently, when I again started her diagnosis; doctors at KEM Hospital Pune said that she would be able to hear like normal person after her cochlear implant surgery. But the cost of that surgery goes upto 8 lakhs approximately including the cost of device, hospital charges and post operation hearing therapy. Due to financial limitation, I am unable to give treatment to my mother.
I assure that the funds received would only be used for my mother's medical treatment. I would provide every receipt required. Somehow, if some moeny is left, I would donate it back to some other necessary campaign over milaap.
Its my plea that please do donate so that my mother can hear my voice.
