A young and enthusiastic girl in her teens is left bedridden due to Paraplegia. She is just 16-year-old and had to drop school. In this paralytic attack, a person loses the voluntary muscle function of the body as a result of damage to the nervous system. Pooja's lower body is completely dysfunctional due to this attack. She can't eat on her own or perform any day to day activity. She is unable to sit. She got a urine bag attached to her side as her organs were not functioning correctly.
Problems don't just end for Priya as she is also suffering from Congestive heart failure. She often keeps complaining about the pain in her chest. Her overall health and quality of life are getting affected badly.
"We are poor and have no money to take our beloved daughter to the hospital for treatment. I am helpless. I had heart surgery, due to which I am unable to work. I can't even earn bread for my family. I am failing as a father. My daughter's life is in your hands. Please help us." Pooja's father, requesting help.
Ram Kumar, Pooja's father, was a labourer, but after his heart surgery, he left his work. Her mother Seema goes for work on the farms occasionally to earn bread for the family. Her job depends on availability. They already borrowed money for Pooja's treatment. Now no one is ready to help them. They are buried under the pressure of excessive debt. They see no hope in life.
"When I see other children playing and running, I feel hurt. My daughter is lying helplessly on the bed. She had to drop school. She can't even get up on her own. She developed bed sores on her back and feet. We have to hold her and feed her. Why this is happening to my daughter? Please help us." - Pooja's mother, asking for help for her daughter.
Shattered by life's misery and left with no hope, Pooja's parents are knocking at every door for help. We can't even imagine how difficult it is for her parents to see their young daughter in such a miserable condition. Your support can bring a ray of hope to their broken life.
Pooja cries and says, " Maa, it's hurting. I can't bear this pain. Please take me to the doctor. I want to die. It's unbearable." Your contribution will be vital in giving Pooja a better life. She urgently needs treatment. Please come forward, and lend support for her treatment.
