At the age of dreaming big and studying hard to fulfil her dreams. 12-year-old is struggling with a congenital hand deformity. Sapna was born with this rare birth defect. Due to this, her right hand is shorter in length and twisted than her left hand. Sapna is incapable of playing, studying or performing any other activity like other children of her age. She finds it challenging to live her life and perform day to day activities.
This deformity occurs when either the bones or the tissues fail to separate in the womb. This deformity may involve underdevelopment of the ulnar bone or the complete absence of the bone. Sapna is experiencing extreme pain, and her condition is also affecting her mental development.
Fighting with the hardships of life, young Sapna's father hardly earns Rs 200 -300 per day working as a labourer when he comes back home with a pea-size income and looks at his daughter lying on a bed in this condition, it breaks him from inside. The feeling of failing as a father is unbearable for Hari Singh (father of Sapna). Sometimes the family has to sleep empty stomach, which is a regular part of their life.
"I see her in such painful condition, and this feeling is killing me from inside. She is our only child, and we, as parents, are failing in our role. It's hard even to meet my family's day to day requirements, and affording surgery for our child is next to impossible. Have I done something so wrong that my family has to suffer in such miserable conditions? Would you help my daughter? Please..." - requests Hari Singh for his daughter's treatment.
Looking at Sapna's congenital disability and deteriorating condition, doctors suggested constructive hand surgery to rectify her deformity. But her parents' financial situation makes it impossible for them to afford her treatment. With so much financial pressure, Sapna's father is overburdened. He experiences extreme mental stress. Sapna's mother wants to help but can't leave her daughter alone, who is entirely dependent on her.
Sapna's mother, Vineeta Rani, says, " Neither she can take a bath nor eat at her own. I have to do everything for her. I am worried about her future. I always think about who will take care of her if something happens to me. I can't even go out and share my husband's workload. I am so helpless. Please help us."
Feeling incapable and powerless to make their daughter's life better, your support for their daughter can bring happiness back in their life. We request you to please support Sapna's family financially. We will be very grateful to you.
