"I can't withstand this pressure anymore, and I sometimes feel to run away from here. It hurts a lot from the inside. They call me "Bhengi" and "Kaani" I was not born like this. It was an accident, and it happened. I feel humiliated seeing myself. The way I look, I can't even see and eat what I am doing here. Will ever my suffering end?..." - says Priya, with a heavy heart.

Priya is 15 years old, and eight years ago, she met with an accident. On 15th April 2013, when Priya was nearly seven years old, she met with an accident while playing on fields. Her parents were working, and the machine used for wheat thrashing malfunctioned, and a heavy part of the machinery fell on her creating a deep cut on her face.

"We were working on the fields, and our machine crashed. We didn't notice that she was playing there and suddenly a part of the machine fell on her. It made a deep cut on her face, and we took her to the hospital where she was operated on, and after 15 - 20 days of strenuous efforts, we were able to save her. I spent a lot of money on her during that phase, and my financial condition became very weak," - says Sudhir Kumar, father of Priya.

The accident took away the happiness of Sudhir's family. The malfunctioning machine made an intense cut on Priya's face, due to which she couldn't eat, listen and see correctly. Her medical treatment consumed all her father's savings and forced him to sell his paternal land for her treatment. Ever since her family could never come out of poverty, their condition worsened with the passing time.

"Today, my condition is so worse that I can't even afford private doctors consultation. When I see my daughter, I am very disheartened as I have no option, and I cannot do anything for her. Recently on 15th August 2021, her mother expired. She was very disturbed due to Priya's condition. Now, I am left alone to take care of her. She can neither speak nor eat properly. Her vision is unclear, and her hearing is affected due to the accident. She can't chew her food as her jaw is damaged..." - Priya's father explains her helplessness.

Priya's mother is no more, and now her father is left alone to take care of her. The family's financial condition is pathetic, and Sudhir has to make extreme strenuous efforts to feed his daughter. After his wife expires, he is left alone to take care of the house as a father and a mother. He has to cook food and has to search for work to support his family. It's tough to find regular job work during this pandemic.

"I am living under extreme mental pressure. What is the use of living such a life if I cannot treat my daughter? She goes to school, and other children tease her with names like "Bhengi" and "Kaani", slang used for those who can't see or listen. Due to this, she is under extreme mental pressure. She often asks me - "Will I die like this only" "Is there no relief to my sufferings" I have no answer to her questions, and I silently cry as I have to console her, and I can't cry in front of her. Please help me save my daughter's future..." - pleads Sudhir for help for his daughter.

Sudhir dreams of a happy and dignified life for his daughter Priya. He is helpless and failing as a father due to his financial condition. Your support can end his suffering and can make his dream come true. We request you to please help Priya by supporting this initiative. She also deserves a dignified and happy life like others. Please support her.
