    Baby Pooja

    from Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh

"When I saw my baby's innocent face for the first time, all my pain just vanished. When her little hands touched my body, it was a heavenly feeling. I never knew this happiness would last for a short time. As doctors broke the news about her medical condition, I broke into tears. My whole world shattered in a few seconds. Why my baby has to suffer? What wrong did we do to deserve such pain in life?" - Poonam, the mother of Baby Pooja, expresses her pain.

Baby Pooja entered this beautiful world with pain and suffering. Two-week-old baby Pooja has developed a ruptured meningomyelocele on her back since birth. It is an open wound that grows on the skin due to injury, poor circulation or pressure. It looks like a round sore on the skin with a thick and raised border.

She cries day and night. Her innocent eyes are filled with pain. A raised bloody and pus-filled structure on her backbone doesn't allow her to move. Her condition is critical. If it ruptures, it can turn into a deep wound that extends through muscle tissue, leaving bones and joints exposed. There is an urgent need for medical intervention to save baby Pooja's life.

"I was happy that goddess Lakshmi came into our house. But my happiness was short-lived as I learned that my baby girl had a big pus-filled blister on her back. It was hard for me to accept that my baby had to live with this pain. I hardly earn Rs 200 a day, with which I manage three meals a day for my family with great difficulty. I have no clue how I will manage funds for my daughter's treatment. Please help me." - requests Binaam, the father of baby Pooja.

Baby Pooja's father Binaam is a labourer and her mother, Poonam, is a housewife. They don't even have a proper roof over their heads. Their work depends upon availability which leaves them with no permanent source of income. Binaam has to look after his old mother, brother and ailing daughter. He is overburdened with responsibilities with earning in peanuts. Helpless father calls for help to bless his daughter with good health.

"We always live in fear that if her blister ruptures, things will get worse. We pray to God to help us in these hard times. We don't want to lose our daughter. She is our world. Please help us." Baby Pooja's parents are requesting support for their daughter's treatment.

Pooja's parents want her to live a painless life. They have no hope in life. It's tough to see your newborn suffering to such an extent. Baby Pooja is suffering, but at the same time, her parents are suffering more than her, living in fear of losing her.
We need your support to make a miracle happen in baby Pooja's life and bring happiness to the lives of baby Pooja's family. Sometimes suffering goes way beyond, and in this case, we still have time. We need timely support to save baby Pooja. We request you to help us save baby Pooja.
