Why are We fundraising?

We want to impart a skill-set which can provide employment to the people in rural or urban areas. These skills are for manufacturing FMCG items in a group at local level. We have planned to train more than 1,000 people in year 2016. The program will not only include training but to also provide support and know-how of packaging and marketing. This way, if manufacturing, packaging and marketing will be done locally then it will reduce the price of manufactured items. We have decided to train people in the manufacture of those items which are in high demand, so that there can be regular flow of fund to the group resulting in a sustainable system for a long time.

Our idea is to make cluster of cottage industry which can manufacture the items of daily use.

In first phase, we are planning to train 100 people in coming month.

What do I plan to do with the funds?

The fund provided will be utilized in training people so that they can have the necessary skill set for manufacturing in FMCG as well as to market them.

The Fund will get utilized in following cost head:
a. Mobilization of people
b. Training Cost
c. Safety Kit for Manufacturing Items
d. Instruments for manufacturing
e. Raw materials to be utilized in training period
f. 1st batch of Raw materials to start the manufacturing after training
g. Charges to Milaap for the service provided

1. Is there any government funding to this program?
Answer: No

2. Are we providing marketing support to the people?
Answer: Yes, in long run we will train them in marketing, so that the items manufactured can be sold locally.

3. Have you trained any person before?
Answer:  Our trainers have already trained more than 400 people in Bihar-Jharkhand in different locations like Mokama, Patna, Ranchi etc. with collaboration of other social organizations.

4. How you have arranging fund currently?
Answer: We are providing training to the people on a very nominal charges.

5. Why you have applied for crowdfunding?
Answer: So that, people who don't have that amount can also be trained resulting in more better life standard.
