After losing two pre-term babies, God finally granted our wish and blessed us with a baby boy on April 7, 2017. Unfortunately, in just three days, his small body was racked by seizures and he stopped breathing.
The doctors gave him immediate ventillator support IV fluids. He is recovering slowly and he needs 20 more days on ventillator. The doctor says he has an infection in his lung and needs medicines to fight it because he has very low immunity. He is at present admitted in Surya Hospital, Mumbai.
Geeta and the baby
My wife is still physically very weak. In the last three years, she has lost two babies. But she still needs to travel to the hospital every day to feed our baby. We are desperately praying our child makes it this time. We are unable to even talk about his health or begin thinking of names for him.
Doctors say that he shall slowly recover however will have to be hospitalized for around 20 days. The expected expense to keep him in the hospital will be around Rs 2,50,000 (two lakh fifty thousand rupees).
I have spent all my savings and even sold my house to get my aged father an essential spinal surgery. I am the only earning member of the family and I work in a small company earning only about Rs 8,500. It pains me to say that I have no resources left to give my baby a fighting chance.
Being powerless to help my 1-week-old baby fight for his life is a very humbling experience for me. I appeal to your kindness and ask for support and prayers in this extreme circumstance. I will be grateful to all for any kind of financial support that can be gathered for my sons recovery.
