3rd year of the program almost coming to an end, we managed to enroll 30 students in Football, 35 in Cricket and 25 in Taekwondo. None of this would have been possible without your support. We are now gearing up for the 4th year and this time we aim to push the number to more than 100 students participating in the program.
Hence with higher numbers, comes a higher financial need! We urge you to continue supporting us so that we can make 1 Student 1 Sport bigger and better next academic year!

Since childhood and my experiences through it , I have come to realize the importance sports plays in building fitness, developing skills, inculcating values such as teamwork, grit,perseverance. I was very lucky to have the right environment and the right coaches to help me through this journey, however there are many out there who lose the battle before it starts.
Keeping this in mind, my friend Jishnu Sarkar (A Teach For India Alumni) has initiated a sports programme - 1 Student 1 Sport, for the students from grades 4 to 8 of the government school, Late Madhavrao Sonba Tupe English Medium School, Hadapsar The programme has been running for a year and I would love your support to help his in this noble cause.
Why - To promote young talent in the field of sports. To provide a platform for students to pursue and hone skills beyond academics.
What - A sports programme that aims at providing training to students in a sport of their interest by certified coaches. The programme entails 4 day training every week. Students will also get an opportunity to participate in inter-school and district level tournaments.
How - This programme has been designed with the collaboration of Fellows, parents and coaches. A nominal monthly fee is paid by the parents. Currently the following sports have been introduced - Football, Taekwondo and looking to start Kho-Kho next month.
How can you help?
We were already able to meet our earlier target of 60000 and have extended the target seeing that we have even more students interested in the program.
You could either donate any amount or sponsor one or more students for a year !
The cost per child per year is Rs 3000
