Hello everyone
I am Nikhar Bajaj , a student of class 11th of K.R.Mangalam World School ,New Delhi , India
I am currently working with Hamari Pahchan NGO . I am working on The project “Sukhad - Menstrual hygiene project”.
‘Sukhad’- an initiative to make the lives of the underprivileged a little easier during the time of menstruation. Providing them with sanitary pads, educating them regarding menstrual hygiene and making all of us understand that 'Periods' and talking about the same is not a taboo.
The society considers menstruation and conversations around it as a sin. Hence, people refrain from talking about it in public. While females go through the emotional and physical pains . I want to tell people that it is fine and necessary for everyone whether men or women to talk about menstrual hygiene .
Sukhad project will help us in eradicating the taboo related to menstrual hygiene and we will try to educate maximum people about periods .
*This year’s aim is to distribute 50,000 sukhad kits*
~ Sukhad kit for 1 woman is Rs.1,400
~ Sukhad kit for 5 women is Rs.7,000
~ Sukhad kit for 10 women is Rs.14,000
KIT INCLUDES:
•24 packets of sanitary pad
•6 packets of soap
•Disposable paper envelopes
I respectfully request everyone that you all donate to this cause. Even donating a small amount can make a significant difference. The more you participate, the more I will be able to assist these ladies with their menstrual issues.
I request everyone to please contribute .
Even a little contribution can make a significant difference on the life of the underprivileged women .
Thank you so much !!
