NEW ROADS TO YAMKESHWAR

Story

Hi,
I am Abhishek Singla, a resident of New Delhi, India. I love to explore new places and always try to engage with new people to know more about their culture, their community, their problems and noticed few common problems which completely changed my mind. Now i travel to bring a change than just to explore.
All of us have been to Himachal, Uttarakhand embracing the nature’s beauty, and nearly all of us have ignored the other end of Beautiful Nature- its people living out there in the mountains of Indian Demography.
We have been consuming nature’s resources from a really long time and its time to return back to the nature by helping its people. New Roads to Yamkeshwar is an initiative to help and support the Education and Community of Yamkeshwar (Uttarakhand) area by creating New Roads for them.
To give it a start:-
Previously in 2016, we a panel of 5 skilled people, who were passionate to do something good for the society, went on NEW ROADS program to same location in Gurukul Public School, where we organised a cultural event to engage with the students and distributed small food items and playing games among the students.
The total strength of the school was 133 at that time and out of them 104 participated in our event with full heart and soul. As a prize, we distributed some gifts among all the participants.
We came to know about some 50 students who wanted to be Educated but their parents were not able to afford the fees of the school.
Then the team decided to adopt some students and hence we sponsored the education of 4 students selected by the school staff and our team collectively. The impact of that event is still live on the life of the students we adopted.
The staff of the school was very happy by our this action, they even told us about the major problems students face due to lack of resources.

So we are looking forward to raise funds for our upcoming program covering the major problems which we discovered last time.
“New Roads to Yamkeshwar”.
This initiative is framed as a social engagement which aims for the betterment of people living in the remote mountains of Indian demography, far from modern facilitation and opportunities.
Now, this year we are heading for a program with a panel of 10 highly skilled, passionate people willing to use their skills for the society wherein we will focus in 2 areas - 1 Schools and 1000 people.
We will organize a cultural fest in School and this time we have planned to sponsor the Education of 15 students and will gift them 2 laptops through which we will provide them E-Learning. There’s a teacher (Mr. Kapil)  who is already good in computers, we will train him over the call and team viewer.

Society- We have noticed that people are unaware of their rights and also they are left alone with no opportunities in their area for which they migrate to big cities in search of food and work, we will survey about their lifestyle, Health, Resources, problems.
The survey will be conducted by the professionals (analysts) from PWC. The conducted survey will be deposited to the panchayat for the prior actions.
Moreover the survey will clear our further steps, a required team will be made for our next program.

The travel & staying expenses are carried out personally by everyone on their own from the team.
We want to transfer the education, resources and skills from Big cities to the remote areas.
The raised funds will be used to sponsor the education of students and to provide the school with useful resources like laptop, games, internet connection etc..
Every helping hand can help someone in educating them and making their future.
