SHARON WELFARE SOCIETY was founded in 2002, in Navuluru Village, Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh, India. Its’ founder Zacharaiah Gudipudi wanted to address the suffering of abandoned, exploited and neglected children in the community. The Society seeks to demonstrate faith, trust and compassion so that the community may experience spiritual, mental and physical transformation.
Under the leadership of Mrs. Sandhya Rani, the organization was honored twice in 2014 as the best NGO in its field.
The Organization started serving 11 children in 2007. Today it serves 65 children. The current rented shelter home is totally inadequate. With new facilities, the Society will be able to serve up to 100 destitute children and orphans. In addition, the school will be able to serve other children from Guntur District and other areas.

The goal of expanding the services that the Society provides will be realized by five objectives: -

1)     Build the infrastructure ( Shelter home,  Water Plant etc.) that will increase the capacity to provide child services.
2).    Develop the multiple day-to-day services to be provided.
3)    Educate and involve the community so that they become active supporters and financial contributors, hence ensuring the sustainability for the project.
4)     Vocational training for the children and youth.
5)  Establish a high school in addition to the current primary school.
We started with a manageable number of 11 kids in June 2007 on a rented house. In SHARON, we serve the kids with love and make these children feel loved. We have trained the kids through counselling, taking them to school. All the kids attend school. They range between pre-school and class 10.At present we are taking care of 65 kids and the current rented shelter home is inadequate in every aspect.
