The coronavirus lockdown decision, although necessary, wasn't inclusive of many marginalised sections of the society like daily wage labourers, beggars, slum-dwellers and several low-income groups.
The privileged section of the society panicked and hoarded up and at the other end of spectrum with no savings ,rising costs of vegetables and other essentials put a major burden on the shoulders of the underprivileged.
It gives me immense pain to see that not only have they run out of work but have also lost their only means to obtain a square meal for themselves and their families to stay alive.
We as responsible citizens should ease their distress during the lockdown.
I have started the initiative
"Feed The Helpless"
to raise funds to serve food to this vulnerable section of the society in the time of crisis in collaboration with the "Kulchawalas".
"Kulchawalas" based in Sector 31 market, Gurugram,is currently offering food to the daily wagers who are currently out of work. From 250 meals a day, they plan to reach 1000 meals a day.
Please contribute generously to feed the citizens who have been hit the hardest by the COVID 19 crisis.
