    This fundraiser will benefit

    Shaikh Naziya

    from Kandukur, Andhra Pradesh

My sister, Shaikh Naziya, who is a 18 years old student, fell sick on 5th of October 2017.

We consulted with a local Doctor on that very day. But after 2 days her condition deteriorated like anything. She became extremely weak with high grade fever and extreme shortness of breath. She was put to ventilator then and there. Then we were suggested her condition is really very critical and she should be taken to some other Multispeciality setup.

We rushed her to the Apollo. On reaching she was shifted directly to the ICU (MDCCU Bed No 2005... later she was shifted to 2012). She went through extensive investigations and tests like Lung Biopsy, Bronchoscopy, Pleaural Fluid Test, Bone Marrow, multiple CT Scan and was given several antibiotics, antifungal, antiviral and other medications as well.

But she didn’t show any improvement till 25th day. So she was being treated in the ICU with ventilation. She is under strict supervision and continuous monitoring of Critical Care Team, Pulmonologist, Infection Specialist, Hematologist, Gastroenterologist etc. After 25th day she started to show very mild improvement in her vitals. Thus she has spent 42 days till today in ICU.

Till now the total bill amount is around 24 Lakhs. Being a lower middle class family we had to sell our land, my sister’s and my mother’s gold ornaments and some other furnitures etc to manage to pay some part of the bill amount. We had to take some debt for the rest of the pending bill. Right now my family members are going through extreme stress as we are approaching the situation where we will be unable to afford her treatment.

The only bread owner of my family is my father. He is working as a clerk.
So it’s my kind request to all of you kind hearted people to donate some amount for my sister. I would be ever grateful to you.
