3-year-old Nameera Sidrath seems like any other normal toddler. Unlike other children her age, she lives in a world devoid of sound and speech. Yes, Nameera has been diagnosed with a bilateral severe-profound hearing loss. This is not new to her parents who already lost the chance to help their older son when he was diagnosed with the same condition.
These parents have realized how difficult it is for a child to live with a disability and don't want their daughter to grow up with the same. They have the chance to save her now with a cochlear implantation. Coming from an underprivileged background, they need your contribution to gift Nameera ears and a voice.
Nameera's father, Rafeeq Ahmed is an auto driver living with his wife and children on a modest income of Rs. 8,000 in Bangalore.
When Mohammed was born 6 years ago, the couple celebrated in joy. "We did not have money for a surgery. So, we thought we can treat him later. As he has grown up, we see how it has affected him. He can't speak because he never heard anything. He has become aggressive and difficult to manage because he finds it difficult to communicate. I can't save my son now, because he is 6, and the doctors say there is no benefit from a cochlear implant at this age. We should have done it earlier."
"The thing is, we have the opportunity to save Nameera. To give her a better life. Although our financial situation remains the same, we are willing to do whatever it takes to help our daughter hear and speak so she doesn't have to endure the suffering her brother goes through every day."
"We have been saving for the surgery fund all this while. Doctors say we have just a little time life before the window starts to close for Nameera's beautiful voice-filled life. Would you please help us gift so valuable that only God can create for Nameera?"
"The surgeon has provided an estimate of Rs 810300 for Cochlear Implant surgery which includes post-operative rehabilitation. Post rehabilitation is an extremely and important part of this treatment process. We were able to arrange approximately Rs 4 lakhs."
Please support us and help Nameera hear and speak.
