According to the United Nations, education is a basic form of entity that is subjected to all human beings. United Nations Millennium Development Goal states that children everywhere regardless of gender should be able to access primary education.
Lem Leone Ferem said in the forty-fifth International Literacy Day that education is a tool to eradicate poverty, reduce child mortality and curb population growth. It is a vital investment for sustainable growth of human and economy.

Palkot is one of the remotest blocks at District Gumla of Jharkhand. PRADAN and Mahila Vikas Mandal, Palkot (MVM Palkot) have been working with the grassroots from many years and providing hand holding support for sustainable development of the denizens. It was observed that people are unaware about the opportunities and ignorant about the outside world, causing minimum monetary and psychological investment from the parents on the students. Other aspects like migration of parents, lack of teacher, alcoholism etc. are creating a negative environment for students to excel. With the support from PRADAN and MVM Palkot the block has seen growth over the years. From this year summer onwards MVM Palkot wishes to support educational environment at village level, and provide opportunity to the young generation. To connect them with the outside world while keeping them rooted to their culture is what MVM Palkot wishes for. Ekk Kadam Duniya Kee Aur is our first initiative towards this road map.
