Hi! My name is Adwita Verma. I’m a student and I’m currently working with Hamari Pahachan NGO as an intern. Hamari Pahachan NGO is a non- profitable organisation which is working towards helping people in need. They have worked on a lot of causes like environmental conservation, education for children, women empowerment and safety, animal rights, Drishti, covid-19 relief and many more. One of their causes have impressed me so much that I am now leading it on my own. This project is called ‘SUKHAD PROJECT’ in which we educate unaware and unprivileged women about periods and the importance of menstural hygiene. We make them understand that periods are nothing to ashamed about. They come every month and happen to every woman, we explain them that period talk is not a taboo, it’s a normal thing and should not be considered as embarrassing or something that they have to hide.
Hamari Pahachan NGO has provided many resources like sanitary pads and educated these women about proper menstural hygiene.

Project Sukhad is in desperate need of an hour, and we must all come together to help.
WE ARE PLANNING TO DISTRIBUTE AROUND 7 K SUKHAD KITS TO UNDERPRIVILEGED WOMEN.
Per kit price: Sukhad kit for 1 woman = Rs. 1,400/-
Sukhad kits for 5 women = Rs 7,000/-

KIT INCLUDES:
24 packets of sanitary pad
6 packets of soap
Disposable paper envelopes
