CBN Foundation nurtures  1420 children through its after school programme in several states in India. These Child Development Centres work as catalysts in the communities to Keep Families Together, to keep children out of the work force and in the school room and to give children a sense of belonging in the community.  
A key objective of the Child Development Centre is to provide one nutritious meal to each child enrolled. A meal consists of rice, pulses and vegetable to make it balanced and nutritious for the child. A child gets two glasses of milk per week too.
The cost of a nutritious meal per child is Rs. 18.  Children are provided this meal 6 times a week for 11 months in a year.  The cost of providing a one time healthy meal to a child in a year is Rs. 5,148 which includes the cost of the ingredients, cook and fuel. This year CBN Foundation has the resources to provide meals for seven months. That leaves four months where your support is needed.
