    This fundraiser will benefit

Manav Dutt Sharma and his team

    from Bengaluru, Karnataka

Ever thought about doing the unimaginable? Sailing in uncharted waters? Venturing into the unknown? Well, we did! We dreamt of circumnavigating the globe by road.  That's what we are going to do....And that's what we need your help for!  But you might ask...to what end?

Many of us think of doing crazy things; but very few actually end up living such dreams! Once we are done with this adventure of a lifetime, we shall provide a template for others who want to live their dreams.  6 year olds to 80 year olds......everyone will be able to use our template and do the unthinkable!

The Team
Here's a little about our team.  We are a core group of 3 colleagues and friends.
1.  Manav Sharma
2.  Vivek Sharma
3.  Vinayak Godbole
We call ourselves Team 4F 24x7.  What does it stand for?
Flying Fit; Fighting Fit; 24x7

Manav:  Popular amongst his friends as MD, he is a doctor by profession.  A father of two, he is also a skydiver, adventure enthusiast, middle distance runner and an avid reader, who also loves travelling and cooking.
A graduate of the prestigious Govt. Stanley Medical College, Chennai, he holds a masters degree in Aerospace Medicine and an advanced diploma in the same specialty.  Hailing from Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh, Manav is what you would probably call a maverick.  Always willing to venture into unknown territories, sail uncharted waters, he does not fit your quintessential image of a doctor.  He has been awarded the 'Himotkarsh Himachal Shri' award for bringing glory to the state of Himachal Pradesh.

Vivek:  Vivek is an aviation enthusiast. A father of an 11 year old angel, he is a keen adventurer, who loves to travel and explore places. He has an eye for nature photography, wildlife and shoots his travel and adventure activities. He is an active sportsman with numerous achievements in athletics and racket games. He is presently heading the Social Media team of a very reputed organisation.
Hailing from Dehradun, he did his initial schooling from Cambrian Hall, Dehradun. He also earned his degree in media management from the prestigious Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) New Delhi.
He will be the person covering the events as they unfold during this dream endeavour to scale the world in a horizontal view.

Vinayak: Vinayak loves to be addressed as 'Godu'. Travelling is the essence of his life. A post graduate in linguistics, he belongs to Maharashtra, is Desi at heart and Angrez in mannerisms. Music is his second nature. He feels blessed to have wonderful parents and a true soul mate. His twin daughters are the ultimate bliss in his life. He is obsessed with photography. He loves reading; not books, but people. He will be the Canterbury Tales fame  Geoffrey Chaucer of our team, who shall excite your minds with awesome narratives of our travel.

What do we intend to do?
We aim to circumnavigate the globe by road, spreading the word about health in general and aerospace medicine in particular.  To be honest, we also hope to inspire the current and future generations of Indians to live their dreams....and live it up!

Our team of 4 intend to go around the globe in a 4WD between July and October 2019, living this unique adventure and spreading the word.
The trip will start from New Delhi and will last around 75 days.
We shall cross the Arabian Sea by ship, shipping the car from Mumbai to Bandar Abbas in Iran.  We then start driving northwestwards, crossing Turkey, Serbia, Hungary and finally entering western Europe.  We head to Spain, from where we cross over into North Africa, covering Morocco and Algeria, coming back to Gibraltar and then heading towards Calais and on to the UK. We next ship our 4WD across the Atlantic to Toronto, Canada, from where, we drive across North America to Los Angeles.  Next, we cross the Pacific to Shanghai in China, from where, we drive across the country to the border with Laos.  We then turn north - northwest again to enter India, crossing Laos, Thailand and Myanmar along the way.
Total distance:  close to 47000 kms

What made us think about it?
Well, they say that life is a book; and the person who does not travel, reads only the first page.  So here we are, trying to read the entire book.
We also want to spread the word about Aerospace Medicine globally.  A niche specialty of medicine, not too many people know about it.  Nobody even talks about it in medical school.  And we intend to change this status quo!  Our way!  So let's just call it a search for great flight surgeons.
Health....one of the most neglected aspects of any society; especially in the third world.  Time to set the stats right!  And we shall do it this way....

How are we going to do it?
We shall speak to medical students in medical schools and colleges during this journey.  We have already tied up for this in Turkey.  Efforts are on to liaise with medical schools in other countries that we intend to cross.  We shall carry publicity material and distribute it everywhere.  Basically, we are taking Aerospace Medicine, health and INDIA to the world!

What do we need?
We are looking for financial support for this expedition.  The funds will be utilised for fuel, vehicle maintenance, documentation and air freight of the car across the Atlantic and Pacific.  The details of the proposed expenditure are given in the proposal available at this link:

Team 4F 24x7 is ready and raring to go. We are ready to take India to the world! And we need your help and support for that!

Come, be a part of this once-in-a-lifetime adventure!
