    This fundraiser will benefit

    Mangalika Ray

    from Kolkata

1.5 years ago Mangalika Ray ( Rani ) was detected with End Stage Renal Disease. Since then she has been receiving dialysis two times every week. Her life has turned into a nightmare while she is constantly battling to stay alive. She is currently admitted in Peerless Hospital, Kolkata. Each dialysis costs 2400 INR, and this is over and above other medical expenses. Recently, doctors have confirmed that dialysis will no longer help, and she needs immediate kidney transplant. Her blood creatinine levels fluctuate between 10 and 12, which is abnormally high, and can cause kidney failure anytime. The cost of kidney transplant is extremely high for a family which has NO source of income, and it is impossible for them to arrange this huge amount. As per the doctor, the entire cost of the procedure, including transplant and donor cost, is around 15,00,000 INR.

Her Family
She lost her father at the age of 15, and lives with her mom, who is also not in good health, and is equally fighting hard, with the only hope of gifting her daughter a new life. Due to ill health, she is not in a position to donate a kidney to her daughter, which is why we also need a donor, and this makes the process even more expensive. Rani, who was otherwise a bright student, managed to complete her Masters, however, had to discontinue her studies due to this chronic illness.

Request to Everyone
Requesting all of you to keep our hopes alive, and contribute whatever amount you can, so that this girl and her mom can start dreaming again.  They are doing as much as possible from their side, but will need financial support if they have to fight it long. I will be sharing her medical reports, fee details and her recovery update to you all continuously.

Hence, reaching out to you for help, for Rani.
