I met Ranjitha 3 years ago when I moved to the village to pursue my passion for organic farming. Over these years I have found her to be a highly driven exemplary student who is extremely focused on attaining her goals.

Ranjitha is the eldest daughter of a family of 4. Her father passed away a few years ago. They stay in a village called Gagenahalli. Their main occupation is farming.  Since her fathers death they have struggled finacially to make ends meet. Right now they do not have the money to pay her college fee of just 20000 INR.

Ranjitha wants to be a Physical education teacher. She is an excellent athelete and has participated in running events at the national, state and district levels. She has also participated in several marathons and has won the third place in the Mysuru 10k challenge in 2018. Recently she came 5th in her age category at the prestigious TCS 10k marathon. Her accomplishments have found mention in the newspapers on more than one occasion.

It breaks my heart to see such a talented driven young girl have her dreams broken only because she cannot afford the tuition. If you feel the same way, please do contribute whatever you can to help her get a degree and thus enable her to make a decent future for herself.
