I am Leela, wife of Madhavan. My husband’s age is 72 years. In the morning of 10-09-2016 all of a sudden, he sat on the steps and his speech became staggered and his left side hand and leg turned inwards. He was immediately taken to Columbia Asia. 

He had a Right MCA (Middle Cerebral Artery) infarct / brain stoke and his left side is completed paralysis (his left hand and leg is immovable). He underwent thrombosis as he was in the window period. He was incubated in view of poor GCS. He later developed hemorrhagic conversion of the infarct and hence was put on ventilators. He underwent tracheotomy to  facilitate weaning of ventilators. Enclosed herewith is his medical report and the photo of my husband who is in the ICU. He is planned for shift to HDU for further management. He requires extensive supportive care, such as tracheotomy care, physiotherapy and other rehabilitation measures. 

As per the Doctors, it would take at least 2-3 months for him to move 2-3 steps on his own for which extensive supportive care is required. As on today the total bill is Rs. 3,68,500/- of which Rs. 75,000/- insurance has been cleared. For the next 10-15 days hospital care another Rs. 1,50,000/- would be required and after that Rs. 60,000/- (including home nurse (Rs. 30,000/month), medical consumables (Rs. 20,000/month), physiotherapy (Rs. 500/- per day). For the next three months Rs. 1,80,000/- + additional medical expenses would be required.

 I really do not know where and how to pay my husband’s bills. Request you all to, kindly help me with whatever little money that can be donated by your kind selves.
