Why am I fundraising?
POSE (Protectors of Society and Environment) is involved in rural development of a village named Madaram, Telangana, India. Focused to improve the quality of life and economic well-being of people helping them in Education, health, Agriculture and SHG’s improvement (self-help groups).
Madaram is inspiration to many in being one of the liquor free villages which motivated us to do something to the people who are passionate in their growth and village development.
What do I plan to do with the funds?
This initiative was started by group of 5 people and continuing by registering an NGO in August 2015. As we are heading successfully, we invite many enthusiastic volunteers participating on our regular weekend activities.
We act as a bridge between Government and Villagers as giving them information on current government schemes and help people who are eligible to avail those benefits.
Through these funds, we are planning to conduct more awareness sessions, educational and career guidance to the youth and children, establishing a digital library with computers and books related to Science History and Agriculture, building Small scale industries for poverty alleviation, create market for SHG's and Farmers to sell their products directly to the consumers.
Recent activities done by POSE:
POSE visits Madaram weekly, conducting the awareness programs from major institutes like NIRD, and to Farmers on Organic Farming (Subhash Palekar’s Zero budgeting) and Educational guidance and planning for many other developmental activities.
1) Constructing Water Trough for the cattle.
2) Introduced people to NIRD for training on Mushroom Cultivation, Leaf Plate Making, and Neem oil Extraction etc.
4) Awareness sessions on health sanitation and other models of village development
