Hello everyone!!!
Please give 5 minutes of your time and go through the message below. I'm sure it'll worth your time.
I'm Divya, currently pursuing BA LLB (Hons) course at Damodaram Sanjivayya National Law University and I've been working with Hamari Pahchan NGO. As a part of many great initiatives that the NGO initiated, I'm glad to be part of the Sukhad project which aims at providing menstrual hygiene to underprivileged women. Infact, it is very thoughtful initiative because often do we talk about and even discuss, since it is considered as a taboo topic. Most of the time, many of is even feel uncomfortable talking and discussing about this topic and this makes the need very urgent because the most of these women dont talk about these issues and neglect and later on become victims of improper sanitation.
"Helping hands are greater than praying lips"
I would further request all of you, especially a helping hand like you to donate your bit in this regard and be part of our project and be a changemaker in this society.
"It is not how much you donate but how much love you are putting into it to donate your bit in this changemaking project."
Every penny you donate will truly empower many of us and other citizens as well.
On a global level, at least 500 million women and girls lack adequate facilities for menstrual hygiene management. More than 77% of menstruating women in India use an old cloth, which is often reused, ashes, newspapers, dried leaves and husk sand during periods.
Lack of knowledge as to how one should maintain their hygiene during menstruation can cause problems with long term effects. Underprivileged women who do not have access, means or the knowledge regarding the same suffer during these hard times and hence the TABOO remains.

On World Menstrual Hygiene Day, Hamari Pahchan NGO distributed Sanitary Kits and it came in limelight on Republic Bharat news channel

After conducting a survey in the slums, it was discovered that there are women who are suffering from various problems due to non-maintenance of their menstrual

Hamari Pahchan NGO has distributed more than 30,000 Sukhad Kits in 2021 and their aim is to distribute at least 50,000 Sukhad Kits to women. These kits would include 24 packets of Sanitary Pads 6 packets of Soap and disposable paper envelopes.

Sukhad Kit for 1 woman = Rs.1400/-
Sukhad Kt for 5 women = Rs.7,000/-
