Why am I fundraising?

Hi guys,
You must have read many fund raisers for children and the under priviledged but this is a little different.
Started by two medicos- namely Dr Samar Hossain, a PG resident in Community Medicine and Neelu Yadav- a final year MBBS student, we both decided to do something different and found time in our busy schedule to give back to society what we have learnt so far. Our resources may be limited, but our intentions are not. We know we will make a difference and with your support we can achieve the IMPOSSIBLE.
We have started in two cities- Delhi and Jaipur. Our main moto is to give children back the childhood they deserve.
And starting out, our first mission is to ensure that no child esp street child goes bare foot anywhere. It may seem like a small deal but bare feet is very common in our part of the country and this can lead to many diseases namely, worm infestations and intestinal parasites residing in these children's bodies. We have to prevent this and to help we aim to distribute slippers to whichever street child we or our volunteer comes across. It is difficult but not impossible.
Next we are going to enroll these children in govt schools.
This is for starters.

What do I plan to do with the funds?

As mentioned above, the funds will be used to provide-

Slippers
Toys
Basic medicines
Clothes
All for street children

First of all we will work on the aim of providing slippers for each and every street child we come across in Jaipur and Delhi.
Let me share a short story-
I and my group of friends went for a weekend out in the city and while we were returning back we came across two street children with runny noses, selling roses and bare foot. that sight never left my mind. In the scorching heat and the burning roads, they moved around with their little feet. Mud clinging and some small cuts too, this was a condition- NO ONE EVER should come across. NO- ONE.
That is when I decided to start this MISSION- SLIPPERS FOR ALL STREET CHILDREN.
Starting with 2 cities and planning to move on to more- Join in and help make a difference.
While food stuffs and medicines are short lived and will run out in few days or maximum a few weeks, slippers are such items that cannot be afforded by all and yet will last for a minimum of 5-6 months and even more.
These slippers will not only provide protection from the sun and injuries but also from intestinal parasitic infections, worms, anemia and tetanus.
Slippers provide protection from many diseases and a sense of dignity. Let these street children feel that they too are a part of our society.
