DONATE FOR A CAUSE About us- We are an NGO working under LIONS club International, we are best known for fighting blindness, but we also volunteer for many different kinds of community projects - including caring for the environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled. We serve the economically weak class people By conducting vision screenings, equipping hospitals and clinics, distributing medicine and raising awareness of eye disease, We work toward the mission of providing vision for all. We have extended our commitment to sight conservation through countless local efforts and services which works to eradicate blindness. Our present objectives- To assist 100 poor patients to undergo free cataract operation through Pheco surgery in reputed hospitalS and 250 patients for Spectacles. Also to provide free spectacles and post operative treatments free of cost. Category of people- Below Poverty level Total Project cost- Rs 1.10lakhs (approx) Reason- There is large number of people in West Bengal who resides in rural areas and average earnings is less than Rs 2000/Month. Due to illiteracy and lack of knowledge those people unable to get assistance for the treatments. Thus with time they loose vision due to cataract, glucoma, and other factors. In Most as they are sole earning members they are forced for begging due to lack of vision. A complete family get disturbed and the children who used to go to school need to stop the study and involve in begging or act as child labour. This type of incidence effects the society and image of the country. Thus we are working for a cause as per our capability. Raised fund utilization- a) Screening/Consultation- Rs 5000.00 b) ECG check- 105 * 50= Rs 5250.00 c) Blood Sugar test- 105* 50=Rs 5250.00 d) Surgery cost- Rs 500* 100= Rs50000.00 e) Spectacles cost- Rs 100*250=25000.00 f) Transportation - Rs 2000 g) Medicines- Rs 10000 h) Miscelleneous - Rs 7500 We need some donations to make the project success.
