My name is Akash Garg and I belong to the JCI India, Guwahati. During the last year, I have traveled to nearby villages and rural locations and observed that there is urgent issue is of scarcity of electricity and children suffer the most.
Most of these villages are located on separate hillocks sometimes not easily accessible by roads. Electrification and providing the necessary load is currently an issue especially because of the terrain. An immediate solution can be the provision of solar lanterns to these households. It will give them a sense of security at night and students a chance to study after dusk.
I propose an idea to light up 1000 households in rural areas of Assam specially in rural Kamrup district, Marigaon District. Each Solar Lantern would cost around 500 INR including the logistics. Please contribute towards lightening up these villages. This children's day and new year, let's spread the light where it is needed the most.
Thanks in advance
