With the recent outbreak of Omicron (Corona Virus) in India, families that are not able to afford at least one square meal in a day have been badly affected.
The bread winner of these families have lost their jobs as a result of the lockdowns being declared frequently in every part of India though to prevent the rapid spread of the virus.
Statistical research by the Hindu Tamil have shown that over three millions, three hundred thousand (3,300,000) children in India are victims of MALNUTRITION with the top three states of the malnourished population being Maharashtra, Bihar and Gujarat respectively.
According to other surveys conducted, one of the major causes for this malnutrition in those affected areas is ‘Economic inequalities’. Due to the low social status of majority of the population, their diets is lacked both in quality and quantity.
Reports also unveil that the level of malnutrition has cost at least 10 billion annually in terms of lost productivity, illness, death, etc. and this is seriously retarding improvements in human development and further reduction of childhood mortality.
These three major affected states by malnutrition in India amount to one million, four hundred thirteen thousand sixty one (1,413,061) out of the three millions, three hundred thousand (3,300,000) malnutrition cases in India.
I, Sylvester F Larbeindee Jr, a volunteer at Hamari Pahchan NGO has started this campaign to feed every human that I can. My goal is to let everyone have a meal at least one time a day before they can sleep.
Recently, through a survey, it has brought to my understanding attention that HUNGER is a major problem and I have decided to assist them with the monthly distribution of Ration/Meals.
