On December 8th, 2019 my brother(Revanth - 27 years old) got admitted in Kurnool local hospital with symptoms of less RBC/platelets count and feeling weak. After 1 day in hospital doctor's suggested to perform Bone Marrow test and later confirmed as Blood Cancer(Acute Myeloid Leukemia). We all are in shock and unable to digest this sad news.
Later we took him to CMC hospital, Vellore-TN ( one of the best cancer hospital in India) for further tests and treatment. Doctor's performed multiple tests(including Bone Marrow) and re-confirmed he is suffering from Acute Myeloid Leukemia and need to perform Chemotherapy & BONE MARROW TRANSPLANTATION. My sister identified as halpoidentical match and treatment costs around 35 Lakhs INR(Indian Rupees).
While he was waiting for the transplant after 1st chemotherapy session, his condition got worse with multiple infections and has been hospitalized for the last 8 weeks. Hospitalization is levying huge bills and gradually draining out the reserve fund we kept for the treatment. Right now he is not having any insurance and source of income for further treatment.
Please help us get through this challenging times, and save my brother as we want him to see him back home; Happy and Healthy.
