Help Rohini represent India At The World Sailing Championship

Rohini Rau represented India for 15 years. She won India’s first international medal for women at the Asian Sailing Championship in 2004. Since then she has sailed 8 World Championships won numerous national and international medals for India.
Rohini campaigned for the 2012 Olympic Games. She quit sailing and finished her MBBS degree and is now working as a doctor in Chennai.

It has taken her 5 years to get back into sailing. But has been keeping up with her fitness. Hoping that one day she will make a come back.

This is it! Rohini will be sailing with a team from India for the J80 World Sailing Championship to be held in Spain - July 13-20 2019.

Please help raise the funds to fund this trip. We are trying to raise the funds through multiple sources. We hope we will be able to reach this goal of Rs 5 Lakh to help take part in this event.
Every little bit counts so thank you in advance for your contribution.

Dear Supporters,

I am so proud of my team! We had winds blowing 25knots - half of my team has never seen these kind of winds let alone sail in them.

We managed to finish 15th in that race. And the end of a tiring week we finally finished 4th among the women!
14th in the Silver Fleet Overall (54/80). This is the first World Championship for 4 of the girls.
And the first time sailing internationally for 3 of them.
We represented INDIA in style and I know we made our country proud.

We finished 1st among the Indian teams here.

Thank you for your support and everyone that made this possible! 4th Women’s team in the World (only team from Asia).
This is just the beginning, look forward to lots more from TEAM YATRA

Dear Supporters,

Just wanted to thank you for supporting me and my team!

We are leaving on July 6th. It’s been a long arduous journey to try and get funding. But it’s worth it as we will be making history. I will be heading the first ever J80 All women’s sailing team from India at the World Championship in Spain in July.

Our total budget is Rs 25 Lakh and we have now raised half of the amount in sponsorship and crowdfunding.

This is the last chance to support our team before we leave next week.

Thanks
