11-year-old Kousar Begam from Koppal district was diagnosed with Wilson's Disease four months ago.  Wilson's disease is a rare inherited disorder that causes too much copper to accumulate in the liver.

Kousar's father, Gudu Sab, is a road contract worker and her mother, Immambi, is a homemaker. Kousar has 4 siblings and her parents are struggling to manage her treatment expenses.
Gudu Sab works in his small piece of land whenever he finds time in the hope that he will get some extra money to help Kousar.

Kousar has been advised to undergo a liver transplant immediately to recover.

Kousar Begam Is A 5th Grade Student

Kousar is a 5th grade student, studying in a government school in Koppal district. She is unable to go to school because of her treatment but she is strong and positive about going back to school after her transplant.

Her Mother Has Come Forward To Be The Donor

Kousar's mother has come come forward to donate a portion of her liver. She will undergo few tests before the surgery. Kousar is being treated at Apollo Hospital, Bengaluru.
