Help Kerala Women In Need

Kerala Floods have displaced over 800000 people - They are now homeless and most of their belongings have been wiped out.

God's own country under God's own challenge? But in reality it's also a challenge to all of humanity.

If you are a woman who has ever had periods you will understand. If you are a man, I'll give a point of view on that, do read through.(and even if you don't read, please do donate generously)

Dear Women, have you ever imagined what it would be like to go back to the time when our mom's, grand mom's did not have sanitary pads or tampons? Scary isn't it? imagine using rag clothes to keep yourself from spotting. Now imagine not even having a rag cloth. This thought shook me and I hope it inspires you to contribute a small bit for this cause.

Dear Men, all of you have mothers, wives, sisters and daughters can you imagine being in a relief camp or wading through water and watching the women in your life squirm with shame and discomfort.

Dear men and women, also consider the health issues, and the sheer disgust for blood dripping from you know where; and having your family walk/wade through that.

Hope some of you are inspired to give a small amount to help the women of Kerala. Fighting for the survival of their children, fighting for the survival of their families, fighting for their own survival and fighting with their own bodies.

I will  use every single cent to buy Tampons, Sanitary napkins and Panties. The Naval base at Cochin has agreed to  help distribute them.

Dear Supporters,

First, a big thank you to all donors,  to everyone who shared details of this fundraiser on their social media, to all my dear friends who supported me, and to the Indian Navy.

Your generous contributions enabled us to purchase 2000 packets of sanitary napkins for the Women affected by the floods in Kerala. We were able to purchase them at a discounted rate from a trusted supplier.

The Indian Navy helped distribute these in the Paravoor, Chengannur and Kuttanad areas in Kerala.

God Bless Kerala!

This has been a most heartwarming experience for all of us on the fundraiser.  People have stepped in and supported us in so many ways. In just 4 days we have collected Rs 148,200 (Very close to our Goal Amount).

We are stopping the fundraising for now. Our focus now is to work out the logistics for sourcing and sending feminine care products to Kerala. We will keep you updated on the progress.

Once again thanks for your wonderful support. God Bless Kerala.
