Kerala has been struggling with floods for past 10 days, leaving thousands of people at the relief camps who needs food, clothing and other essential supplies.
I'm raising fund to help Kerala flood victims, we are sending supplies to relief camps setup at Wayanad, as more people are being rescued and moving to relief camps the essential supplies are running out much faster. Please donate whatever you can, even a small amount would make a difference.

Thanks to all the good hearts for the quick contribution, on Aug-17 at 4pm, we supplied 125 kg rice, 5000 biscuits, 50 bedsheets, 50 towels, 50 toothbrush and 500 sanitary pads through the BMF to Wayanad relief camps.




All the essential items we supplied were loaded along with other contributions to 2 trucks and sent on Aug-17th late evening around 8pm by BMF (Bangalore Malayali Friends) and sent to Wayanad relief camps



For the 1st phase we spent around Rs.20,000 to buy the items 125 kg rice, 5000 biscuits, 50 bedsheets, 50 towels, 50 toothbrush and 500 sanitary pads. Please find the bill attached below

About me: I'm Biju Damodharan, currently I live in Bangalore and work for Amazon India, originally from Kerala, me, my wife Lakshmi who works as a teacher at National Public School - Bangalore and along with our friends are raising this fund to help the rescue and relief work happening at Kerala, we would also like to support the rehabilitation efforts once the rescue and relief operations are over, kindly donate, I will provide frequent updates on how the funds are utilized. I want to give an update of all the spend we have done so far and what’s the plan for the rest.
Spend 1 - Rs.1,30,000 - For Immediate relief – (From 17th Aug to 21st Aug)
We’ve send items to Flood Relief Center Mananthavady and to the General Hospital Ernakulam.
We’ve sent 125 kg rice, 5000 biscuits, 50 bedsheets, 50 towels, 50 toothbrush, 500 sanitary pads, 100 Nighties, 100 under wears, 100 sandals, 100 T-shirts, 50 underskirts, 50 lungies, 45 sweaters, 5 carton box general medicines and 1 carton box of books.

We distributed "Back to Home - Kit" for 75 families (at Thundathumkadavu, Ernakulam) to start rebuilding themselves. Each kit was worth Rs.4000. This was done through Welfare Services Ernakulam (50% tax exempted through 80G). Each kit contained food, cooking, cleaning and dress materials. Please find the pictures below

We bought 250 – “Back to school kit” for the affected school children. We will be distributing this to the school kids at Wayand. Each kit contains 1 school bag, 4 notebooks, 2 pens, 2 pencils, 1 scale, 1 eraser, 1 sharpener and 1 pencil box.

We’ll be contributing this amount for long term rehabilitation to CMDRF - Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (100% tax exempted).

Back to home Kit: We are working with Welfare Services in Ernakulam, Kerala to distribute "Back to Home - Kit" for families to start rebuilding themselves. Please find the items in the kit and the cost below. We are working with groups that can source, pack and distribute to people asap. We are planning to distribute this by Sunday / Monday (Aug- 26/27) if everything goes by plan. We are planning to sponsor 75 - 100 families at Ernakulam district.
Back to School Kit: We are planning to distribute Back to School kits to 100 school children who are studying at a remote Government Lower Primary School at Makkimala Wayanad, the school and it's surroundings where the kids live are impacted by rains and heavy landslides. The kit will have a school bag, notebooks and stationeries. We will source and distribute this personally by mid-next week when the school reopens.
