About Kahaanighar:

Kahaanighar is a Social Enterprise established by painter Meenakshi Jha Banerjee and design thinker Rony Banerjee, out of their sheer commitments and interest for development of cultural pro-activeness amongst children through informal interactions, as simple as storytelling.
KAHAANIGHAR and its activities are FREE for all children who are  under-privileged and deprived and intend to ascertain experience & exposure.
Meenakshi and Rony nurtures Kahaanighar with their own income and has yet not recieved any financial support or grant from anywhere.

It started in 2014 and right now operating out of its premise at Rajendra Nagar Patna.
Meenakshi and Rony dreamt of Kahaanighar becoming a synonym for CHILDHOOD. They visualised, Kahaanighar would be a place where every child of the country shall come together and participate to recognize their abilities and talents.
In order to establish this into reality, they had stepped out in 2014 to establish Kahaanighar in Patna, where the children of the nearby neighborhood started assembling on Saturdays over story telling sessions.
Casually, the sessions transformed into movie shows, painting sessions, crafts , poetry, song, music, camps, tours and so on. It was just fun, seeing the kids opening up. The transformation had just began.
In the last few years Kahaanighar has become a known name over the community.

Kahaanighar continues to conduct open session for children since 2014, every Saturday evening, when a resource person comes in along with a story or activity from his/her domain of expertise.
We have had the honour of having our friends like RJ Sashi, Cartoonist Pawan,Storyteller Dharmesh, art guru Prof. Shyam Sharma, dramatist Gautam Gulal, filmmaker Nikhil prakash, Social scientist Juhi Roy, Medico Dr Prakash Mishra and many more who had been guests at such occasions and continue to encourage us.
We maintain a 52 week's schedule of activities for each Saturday dedicated to a specific domain ie. #Art #craft #design #literature #Cinema #Dance #Maths #Science #humanities #yoga #games #counselling #music etc.
Besides the above activities a regular free tuition class for imparting basic education and functional literacy is also organised for the children every evening on all week days.
Kahanighar Methodology Matrix is an outcome of Design Thinking Principles and practices. A Flock together approach for a communication ecosystem around childhood has been taken. The skeleton has been designed around two primary needs namely, Information architecture and functional content. The Ecosystem stands out around Conservators, Aggregators and Navigators, like us who directly impact the Physical, mental, Functional, sensorial and Behavioral aspects of Childhood while leveraging the Information visualization interfaces. This has evolved into three categories of touch points namely, Instructions, Services and Exhibits. The Outcomes of orations, actions and demonstrations have evolved into Prototyped modules.
