This fundraising page is to raise money for the education of disadvantaged children in India, through donations received in ‘Jorasanko Umeed Foundation’.

‘Jorasanko Umeed Foundation’ is a Globian Non-Governmental Organization, working for the social development of the community in general, and for the benefit of the ethnic minorities in particular, based in Kolkata, India.

Our objective is to provide financial aid to the needy children, in order to enhance the overall literacy rate and diminish gender disparity.
In short, we will provide:

• Monetary support to the deprived children
• Support children to resume a discontinued education
• Supply books and stationeries
• Register children in schools

Therefore, the funds that we raise will go to the development of the children, and achieve a major increase in the number of literate and educated children in Kolkata. With our goal of Rs.705450.00 or approximately $10,000, we could make a significant contribution to the development of the children, which will greatly benefit several generations for years to come.

The “Jorasanko Umeed Foundation” earns massive respect from the authorities and local communities through hard work and dedication to its beneficiaries. They have their office in Kolkata and works with the government to create, improve or change laws, which are required to enhance the lives of those in need.
We aim to educate as many children as possible. These children are deprived of their rights and are not able to continue their studies due to their poor financial condition. The organization run projects that help to alleviate the problems caused by statelessness, poverty, exploitation, lack of rights, inequality, illiteracy, ignorance and much more.
At “Jorasanko Umeed Foundation”, we solely focus on educating as many children as possible. These children are deprived of their rights or are not able to continue their studies due to their poor financial condition. We put all our efforts into constructing socio-economic equality by assisting these needy children in getting the appropriate education. According to the last census, nearly 24% of the entire child population in West Bengal is uneducated.
