Dear Patron,
This fundraiser comes to you from Deepa, Nayana and Satyam. We are currently Teach for India fellows at Government Kannada Higher Primary School, Belathur Colony, Bangalore. As a part of the fellowship, we teach English and Maths to 90 kids in grades 4th, 6th and 7th.
Through this fundraiser we hope to provide the children with a few essential resources that will enable them to have a holistic education. Please go through the list that follows to know how your contributions will be used:
1) 3 Projectors and projector screens – Rs. 25, 800
Teachers will be able to use projectors to use audio-visual material to teach in class. This will give the children exposure and access to knowledge, values and opportunities.
2) 90 School bags – Rs. 40, 000
The 90 children will be able to use functional school bags every day.
3) 270 notebooks – Rs. 21, 000
As it is hard for most of the children to buy notebooks for every subject, this will provide them with three notebooks each for English, Math and homework.
4) Stationary – Rs. 15, 811
This will provide the children with wax crayons, pens, pencils, erasers, sharpeners and geometry boxes which will be used for art, craft and extra-curricular activities.
Total amount required for the resources listed above: Rs. 1,02,611
