The other day when I was giving rounds in Female unit, this 15 year old Jitu, pleaded for TWO balloons for this Durga Pooja. Yes, she's​ is not been playing with children of her age since 10years because of this ugly disease called Plexiform Neurofibromatosis. It has affected her Right lower limb. She spent her childhood running from hospital to hospital. She hardly remembers playing with children of her age. Now, she is at Guwahati Medical College Hospital for Limb reduction surgery. Every morning the question that she asks - Sir, Theek Ho Jaabo na ? ( Sir, will everything be alright? ) resonates in my ears. I have promised that everything is going to end well. Now, that she's being prepped up for Limb reduction surgery, Me, one of the treating doctors of her, is here requesting funds for operative expenses.
