Hi,This fundraiser is for my mother Jacqueline Matthews, she has been diagnosed with Intestine Ischemia which is caused due to a blockage in the veins that leads to intestines thereby causing a stoppage in blood flow. She has been admitted to Apollo Hospital, Chennai. The doctors had advised to go in for a surgery on October 2nd, 2017. During the surgery it was found that a Gangrene  was forming on parts of her intestines. A portion of her intestine had to be amputated. Post surgery she was kept on ventilator as the fluid secretion in her stomach was heavy, her lungs were affected and breathing became difficult.

This is a rare and serious condition and surgery and medical expenses has reached about 15 lakh rupees which includes hospital charges which are amounting to 1 lakh per day. We are not sure how much and how long she will require this treatment. Doctors have conducted three surgeries so far to treat, assess and clear the infected portion of her intestines.

I am trying everything  and pay for this surgery, so far I've been able to get only about 3 lakh rupees from various sources. It would be of real help if I could get the rest of the money through kind donors.

My mother is a widow and she has no other source of income at present which is why I am making this appeal to all those who can help in any way possible.
