    This fundraiser will benefit

    Krishna

    from Bangalore, Karnataka

Krishna was a father of 3 kids - Two daughters aged 13 & 11 and one son named Chethan aged 9. Tragedy struck on 22nd July 2018, when Chethan accidentally came in contact with a live electrical wire on his terrace. Hearing the cries, Krishna rushed to the terrace to save his kid but was himself electrocuted.

They were both hospitalised in critical condition. Chethan fought hard for 3 weeks in the ICU but finally succumbed to the extensive electrical burns and passed away on 13th August 2018.

Krishna is currently out of immediate danger but has suffered 15% 3rd and 4th degree burns, some down to the bone.

He is currently admitted to the Burns & Plastic Surgery ward in St Johns Hospital in Bangalore and has been kept in isolation as he is very susceptible to catching infections due to his extensive burns. He needs a long extended stay in the hospital. He has already undergone two surgical procedures and is expected to undergo multiple surgeries in the future.

A total of 4 lakhs (400 thousand) Indian rupees was spent on Chethan's treatment and so far a total of 2.5 lakhs (250 thousand) Indian rupees has been spent on Krishna's treatment. Most of this money has been borrowed and donated by family and friends. Another 3 lakhs is expected to be needed for Krishna's extended stay and surgeries. Additionally, the wife is looking after Krishna in the hospital and they will not likely have any income for many more months. The entire family needs to somehow take care of Krishna's medical expenses and look after the two daughters and their upbringing.

At this point, the survival of Krishna and his family will not be possible without outside help. They are in desperate need of money and to repay some of the loans. Please help Krishna and his family in this time of need so that they can tide over this unfortunate tragedy that has crippled the family and snatched Chethan's life away from them.
