Koshish - A Divine Hand Foundation has adopted one of the locally run 'Night School' in village Sonepur, in the state of Bihar. The school was started by few young people who had joined hands to support the cause of Education to the children of Sonepur village. This school started with some kids but later on had a good response and the strength reached to almost 300 children from in and around the neighboring areas who could not afford to go to formal schools.

This school was being run at one of the Dharamshala, available in the vicinity and was facilitated by 4-5 teachers who were paid partly. With passing times, the Dharamshala started getting used more for religious festivals and celebrations and the continuous availability of the place/Hall started getting interrupted & t/fore the continuity of the classes started breaking and off on, the classes started getting postponed many times. Because commercialization, the Dharamshala hall availability for running the classes was refused.

On account of all these, as on date the school got closed fully and all these 300 Children are now deprived off of the Education and Learning. The society had not much enough money to occupy the required space anywhere in the village/town to run the classes and as a result it all died a slow death.

We Koshish-ADHF has taken over this initiative to revive this very good & needed cause of access to education for unprivileged. We were motivated to take up revival of the cause on knowing that those large No. of Children suddenly Lost their Sunshine.
