Unlike other fundraisers, I don’t have much decorated or elaborated programs to convince donors, but I’m here with the truth and the real me. CONCEPT:

The iBuddy is a Social Business, thinking and working for better ways to change people’s life. It is a School Management System cum Smart facility for Educational Institutions. It is an Educational Application, an online gateway through which the students and parents will be able to connect with the schools through a common platform and prompt SMS at anytime anywhere. The students and parents will be able to get the regular updates of the classroom and the events at school. Both the parents and teachers will be able to communicate with each other concerning the Childs performance and behavior at school. Even with the help of this Application the principal will be able to communicate with the students, parents and the teachers.

 

AIM:

The main aim of iBuddy is to bridge the parents and the teachers, so that both the parents and teachers could collaborate with each other and help the students achieve academic excellence, create a bright career scope and form character of discipline and value.

 

CAUSES AND IMPLEMENTATION:

PROVISION FOR FREE EDUCATION FOR THE UNPRIVILEDGED KIDS OF OUR SOCIETY:

We wish to make a provision for Free Education for atleast 50 kids from the streets of Kolkata. We would have teams who would approach the parents/guardians of the kids from the streets and railways platforms, convince them to cooperate with us to educate their kids instead of letting them beg on the streets, get their kids admitted to various schools nearby their locality, provide them with books and stationeries, uniforms and bags, and all other possible requirements needed for education. We would also set up a tuition center for these kids so that they can be guided by the tutors and revise the lessons taught in the school. We would provide pick and drop facility for those kids who says far from the tuition center. Also, if they do well in their studies and wish to continue their higher studies, we would sponsor them and give our full support and cooperation to help them in fulfilling that. And our estimated cost to fulfill this would be around Rs.150000. Your small contribution could help us to achieve this goal.

MY STORY

I am Patrick Sunny Mullick from Bandel, a small town located 40km away from Kolkata, West Bengal, India. I’m born in a middle class Christian family belonging to Bandel Basilica. My father was a simple motor mechanic and my mother a house wife. I have two younger brothers. Inspite of financial problems, my parents tried their best to give us good education so that we don’t suffer and struggle in life like them. So I did my schooling from Don Bosco Bandel and completed my graduation in B.Com from St.Xaviers Kolkata. I did work as an accountant and a supervisor in Freeset Bags and Apparels Pvt Ltd (Grish Park, Kolkata) and also in Arjay Retail (Commercial Street, Bangalore). But l was not satisfied with the job because l always had a dream, dream to do something for the society.  And I learnt that a simple job will never help me to realize my dreams. Studying form Don Bosco School, l greatly got inspiration from the life of Don Bosco, and also got inspired by the work of Mother Teresa. I truly can not be like them nor do l wish to be like them, but l do wish to continue their good work in my own possible ways. I quit my job and returned to Kolkata. I wished to educate or atleast make a provision for free education for the unprivileged kids of our society, empower women so that they could cope up with the problems they face in their daily lives and in the society, work for animal welfare and environment, work for the aborted old aged people by their own children, create social awareness and also stand beside the poor and needy. This is my dream. So much to do but all alone? Let me start, others can join me later!

 

Well, returning Kolkata, way back in 2014,I thought deep and hard of different ways to make my dreams come true. Then l got few online ideas with which l could make my dream come true. Initially l did not face any financial problems as l did have some savings (though not much as l got to support my family while working in both the places) which l though was enough to work out my project. But things turned different and l got to face many challenges soon. I ran short of finance and l started asking my family and friends to support me financially. But trust me, even being very capable, none believe in my dreams and though l was just working for nothing. Everything would go in waste. Instead of helping me, they discouraged me and demotivated me to take up a job and lead a normal life. But l never gave up. I kept on fighting all alone and tried out ways to cope up with every challenges that came on my way. There were many times when l though its high time to give up. But then l realized its not me, I am not born to give up. As time passed, l had to face my opposition and humiliation from my own family and friends, they even pressurized and make things hard for me so that l give up on my dreams. But nothing could force to stop me. And on September 2017, after a long struggle for 3 years, l could manage to set up my social business with the name iBuddy : redefine education…
