This 17-year old girl is diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. It all started with severe back and muscle pain in July 2016. She was prescribed pain killers by the local doctor and there would be a temporary relief.
However as the pain worsened she was brought to Manipal, Bangalore and was diagnosed with AML. She was advised Chemotherapy and Bone Marrow Transplant and Chemotherapy was immediately started.
Simultaneously the procedure for BMT was on and her brothers were cross matched. Unfortunately as it was not a 100% match, the doctor has advised to continue on Chemotherapy.
"Sirisha is closest to our father. They share a very beautiful father-daughter bond. He is also very attached to her. That is the reason we have not been able to tell him about her actual diagnosis. He will not be able to handle it. We have not even been able to tell her about it yet. How can we? How do I look my little sister in the face and tell her that her life is in such great danger, while we are all still around her?" Says Sirisha's brother
Her father is a daily wage worker and earns Rs 4000/- per month. A picture of Sirisha with her father whom she respects and loves very much.
Please support Sirisha's battle for life.
