Sanjali's latest production, ' Hansika- an adaptation of Swan Lake' is planning for an all India city tour in 2019. After staging two successful shows in Bangalore, we feel its time to take Hansika to other parts of the country. We wish to raise funds to make this tour a reality. Proceeds from this project shall go into providing resources for Odissi dance to reach the underprivileged.

Sanjali Centre for Odissi Dance has launched of its very own scholarship program 'Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Outreach Program' . This outreach program aims at helping Odissi dance students from the underprivileged / economically backward communities to continue their learning in Odissi and pursue their dreams of becoming Odissi dancers. Sanjali has launched this program in the hope of making art available and reachable to anyone who wishes to pursue Odissi dance.

About Sanjali
Sanjali Centre for Odissi Dance (Bengaluru) was established in 2004 by Sharmila Mukerjee. This dance institute provides a complete education in the Odissi dance form-the technique, the skills, the tradition, the sadhana and the fulfilment. This institute primarily provides training in the Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra style of Odissi.

About Sharmila Mukerjee
Sharmila initially taught Odissi at Calcutta School of Music and always have wanted to make art reach to the underprivileged or impaired going out of her way. She has worked very closely with hearing impaired children as she taught dance and movement therapy at The Oral School for Deaf Children, Kolkata and choreographed and directed many productions with these children, the most notable among them , being "Ramayan" a full length dance drama in which more than 50 hearing impaired children participated. After moving to Bangalore, she also taught dance at the Sheila Kothwala Institute for the Deaf and for a few years.

About Hansika
Hansika is an adaptation of Swan Lake, a ballet composed by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in the context of Indian classical dance-Odissi. The ballet originating from Russian folk tales tells the story of Odette, a princess turned into a swan by an evil sorcerer's curse

We hope to raise enough funds to support this vision of Sanjali's. Any contribution from your side will contribute towards the dreams of child. Even the smallest contribution shall be appreciated.

Proceeds from this fund shall go into providing resources for Odissi dance to reach the underprivileged.
