Venkatakrishnan aged 37 coming from the portals of Bharatakalanjali, the senior disciples of The DHANANJAYANS . Having performed extensively with the Bharatakalanjali troupe, Venkatakrishnan and his wife Brindha were running their own institution PRANAVAM centre for arts at Thiruvanmiyur,Chennai
During a recent trip to the USA for performance, Venkatakrishnan collapsed and was diagnosed for failure in both kidneys requiring a kidney transplant. Venkatakrishnan has a kidney donor through his mother and required financial assistance for the procedure
