My dear friends , I am putting up this campaign for my cousin Uzma Tahseen. She is a bright , cheerful and courageous young girl of 19 years from Kolkata, West Bengal . Since childhood she has been focused and optimistic. As a young girl she aspires to be a teacher. She believes that education is a firm foundation of a positive and poised society. She has been a good student throughout  and presently she is pursuing English Hons from AJC Bose College, Kolkata .Her aspiration came to a halt when she was diagnosed with Primary Mediastinal Large B Cell Lymphoma , a type of aggressive and life threatening blood cancer in November 2017. Since then life has been awfully tough for her and her family, on one hand she had to battle the physical and emotional challenges of the disease and on the other hand the family struggled through the mammoth task of arranging funds for her treatment.She underwent 6 cycles of chemotherapy as per her prescribed treatment plan.  Her Pet CT report after 3 consecutive chemotherapy cycles revealed significant improvement and gave her a new lease of life. She started to feel better after the cycles were completed. Life just started to get slightly normal when her 2nd Pet CT unfortunately gripped her again showing an increase of metabolic activity by 35% suggesting a case of Relapsed Refractory Primary Mediastinal B Cell Lymphoma. Based on her current findings she has been advised to undergo 4 cycles of Salvage Chemotherapy with Autologous Stem Cell Transplant and Maintenance Immunotherapy.  
She belongs from a lower middle class family. With much difficulties the funds for first 6 cycles of chemotherapy were arranged for her treatment. Her father who  has not taken a break from work to arrange for funds required for her treatment works in a mid size firm as a cook in UAE and has not seen her in person since the disease inflicted her . The entire savings and all possible sources of funds the family could arrange exhausted in her first phase of treatment. For her next phase of treatment an estimated amount of Rs 25 Lakhs approximately will be required.  We, humbly request and appeal for your assistance in this noble cause of helping a cancer patient.
