Help our kids learn better

We are working as Teach for India fellows in a low-income government school, Mithanagar MPS in Goregaon West. We teach 67 students studying in Grade 10th. We envision that by next year all of our kids will be in the top 5 colleges of their choice.
To make this vision a reality, we not only work closely on the academics piece but focus immensely on the values and the mindsets of our kids to make them responsible, caring and humble individuals.
67 of our kids are stepping into the final and possibly the most important year of their school life. They will be appearing for their Board examination in February'18. According to the reports in the leading newspapers viz. The Times of India, Hindustan Times and The Hindu, subjects like Hindi and Marathi pulled down scores of many students in the state.
We are afraid are kids are not in a very promising position to score well in Hindi and Marathi and so we would like to engage a full-time teacher who can teach our kids Hindi and Marathi.
We don't want academics to come in the way of the sparkling dreams which our kids have for themselves and thus we want to make sure our kids get the best possible education and embolden them to succeed in life.

6th December 2017
Dear Supporters,

My team and my students cannot thank you enough for your contribution. We are into the month of December, two months before our kids appear for their Grade 10th examination. In the past few months, we are working relentlessly to bring the best out of every kid in our school and help them not only to score good marks but to also make them better individuals.

As mentioned in the previous update, we hired a teacher for Hindi/Marathi and we are withdrawing funds to pay her for her services.

The kids have shown a steady amount of growth in these two subjects and I am certain our kids will only get better from here.

Thank you for your support.
